St. Barts Collection from mark.
I've recently been feeling like I want to get away to an island and St. Barts would be just the perfect location. mark. by AVON recently came out with their St. Barts collection and their new beauty products and fashion really make you want to pack your bags and just getaway.
Let's take a look!
Lucy Hale looks absolutely beautiful on the cover.
Turquoise and fuchsia are the main colors and I think that they go so well together. I also love the translucent design of the bottle.

REVIEW: mark. Blooming Pretty Highlighting Powder
I am so ready for warm weather and this highlighting powder from mark. ($16.00) makes me happy with anticipation. I honestly thought this would be a powder that would just look pretty in the compact but turns out it looks just as pretty on your face.
I smile a lot and tend to blush very easily (especially when I'm around that certain special someone) so, I don't own many blushes. However, when my AVON demo catalog came in the mail, I just knew I had to get this!
This is probably one of the prettiest blushes I have ever come across. It's actually a highlighting powder but the flower portion has 2 shades of pink which is just so pretty. It's almost too pretty to use. :) The yellow is like a buttercup color which is perfect for spring!
Here is a close up of the colors.
I really like the fact that there is no shimmer or sparkle with this powder as it doesn't accentuate pores or fine lines. I wanted to use the yellow on my lids as well to just see more of the color. There is a fair amount of pigment to the shade but not so much as to give you a harsh look from the 80's. When all three colors are blended you get a subtle glow to your face. I had this look for about two hours before I took the photos and then headed to dinner with some girlfriends.
I used a champagne colored cream eye shadow on my lids that went quite well with the yellow.
I think it looks even better with the flash.

Turkish Delights of the Day
- The weather here in Virginia has been beautiful (around 70 degrees) and then it started sleeting last night as the temperature dropped below freezing within hours.
- I have truly been enjoying my break from graduate school until I return on May 15th. Need to really get crackin' on projects and my blog.
- I received official notice about making President's Club with AVON and feel so blessed and overcome with joy! This company is truly amazing.

REVIEW: AVON CC Cream
This is one product that I have been sooooo excited to try and could not wait to order the demo before it became available to my customers. I am a fan of AVON's BB Cream but do find that it has a dewy finish and I need to powder in my t-zone during the day. Let's take a look and see how the CC Cream is!
Now CC Creams stand for "Color Correct" which is great especially for the winter since my cheeks get pretty red. I also love that the SPF is 50!
Here is the information from their website (demo book since it's not available yet):
Corrects, Protects, & Perfects.
- Begins to fade the appearance of dark spots in just 2 weeks
- Buildable light to medium
- SPF 50 protection
- With licorice and Vitamin C
- Color-corrrecting pigments and pearls improve the look of dullness, dark spots, and uneven skin tone
- 5 shades (light, light medium, medium, medium deep, and deep)
This has more of a matte finish and I found that it reminds me a lot of Rimmel's new Stay Matte foundation. It has a creamy consistency but almost dries to a powder finish. I find that so interesting considering how "dewy" the BB cream is. The shade I used is light-medium which was a tad to "light" for my skin tone so I think I will go with the "medium" next time. I am in love with this! I would recommend it for anyone who has combination/oily skin. I found that even my "drier" areas did just fine as they day went on. I found the shades to be identical to the BB cream which is great since you can combine them for certain parts of your face.
Here is a closeup of my left side which has the most pores and acne scarring. I had a micro dermabrasion treatment the day before so I think it covered redness up pretty well. I also liked that it didn't accentuate my pores! I would say this has a light to medium coverage as stated and I was able to apply a bit more on my cheeks.
This was just the CC Cream with flash (No powder or moisturizer). I think it did a pretty good job!
Here is a close up of the ingredients. I will continue using to see if it does "even my skin tone". I'll keep you guys posted!

Turkish Delights of the Day
- It snowed here in Virginia and the temperatures are still below freezing! Two days ago it was 60 degrees outside.
- I have been keeping up with my 2014 Resolution of eating healthier and working out 3-5 times a week. High five for me! Now if I can only give up my love for red wine and European cheese.
- The next semester of graduate school started and I've been studying my behind off.

Shades of Green: From Mint to Emerald
I was at Starbucks this past summer drinking my earl grey tea when I was thinking about how many beauty/fashion related items that I have in black or brown. So, I've really been motivating myself to start purchasing more items in colors that I really don't own and "experiment" a little bit. Green was the first color that I started branching out into. Maybe green popped into my head that day because of the Starbucks umbrella that I was staring at across from me. Who knows but it is a color that I have been having fun with lately. I wanted to share with you my top favorite "green" things that I have been enjoying. Now I'm not talking being "green" but the color green. Hopefully, it will inspire you to put down those brown shoes and pick a "new" color instead.
* I kept my lips on the nude/pink side as I think it pairs really well with green colored makeup. Green tends to brighten up your eyes and you want that to be the focus of your face instead of your lips. I find this to be the case even with the lightest shade of green.
Wet N' Wild has become one of my favorite drugstore brands and they always seem to surprise me on a consistent basis. This has been one of my favorite creamy chubby pencils! It's a metallic forest green color but it's not too sparkly. It has a creamy consistency and glides on sooooo easily. I also like that you can layer more of the product to provide a deeper and richer look. You get a much more longer wear if you pat it with a similiar color eyeshadow. However, I would not recommend this on your waterline because it does sting.

This is another chubby pencil and it is the perfect "Army" green. I believe the color used to be called "celadon." It is super long wearing and is also sweat proof. I tend to have oily eyelids especially in the summer and this never fails me. This is sort of a matte finish and is not shimmery at all. It goes on really smooth and I can also blend it with my finger. I use the "vanilla" shade on mornings where I'm running a little behind because I can just swipe the color on my lids and go!
Here's a swatch of both pencils. You can see the shimmer in the Wet N' Wild and the more matte finish of the AVON pencil. They are even more beautiful in person.

Do you like my camouflage bandage for my pinky? I think it went perfect with the color! I never thought that I would like the shade "green" for my nails but this color really surprised me. I received it as part of a beauty kit a while back with some of my demo items. I usually tend to lean towards reds and pinks for my nails but this is a perfect shade for fall. I applied two coats but the color is so rich that one coat was more than enough. It's a high shine color that's pretty dramatic and I didn't even apply a top coat. Sadly, AVON does not carry this shade anymore and eBay is out of stock most of the time. They have a color called "Tempted" in their Fall 2013 collection and I linked it above under the price.

Moda-Luxe
This was one of my favorite bags for summer. It held up so well to my bottle of sunscreen, iPad, wallet, makeup, and everything else I put in there. The photo above is from Target's website as I couldn't get good lighting to show the true color. It is an amazing bag and the color isn't quite as bright as "mint green" and it is sort of muted color. It has a 14" strap and plenty of roomy pockets on the inside. The handle is really sturdy but I do wish that this came in more colors. I'm glad that I picked up this fun shade over the summer and look forward to using it some more. Moda-Luxe is an eco-friendly brand and I've only seen their bags carried at Target. I like that their bags have a luxury look at an affordable cost.

Simple No Fuss Makeup
Hello Everyone!
Some mornings I really don't want to spend too much time getting ready. Yesterday was one of those mornings and it inspired me to share my routine with you guys! It might be a day where I'm just running errands or I just want a simple look that takes no more than 10-15 minutes. Here is my version of that look below. For me a look like this only requires a few of your "go to" products and can be applied every day if wanted. * Please know that being an AVON Representative does not prevent me from giving honest reviews. | I have some makeup on but I think it looks very natural. One thing I didn't do was line my water line. I usually use a brown eye pencil and I notice how different my whole face looks without it. Just eliminating one simple product makes a world of difference. |

| Here is a closeup of my eyes. I added just a touch of the AVON Diamonds pencil in vanilla right in the corners. It's a waterproof shadow and looks like a big crayon. I didn't include that one in the photos. Sort of a last minute item. |
